Hard
Enamel/Cloisonné

These pins are die-struck from a copper bronze surface. A die is created to imprint your design into the metal. The outline of the pin and any cut-outs are then cut with another mold. Colors are hand-filled with a powdered glass-like mixture. Colors are fired one at a time at a very high temperature. This two step process insures that bleeding of colors does not occur. Next, the pins are individually hand polished and then gold or silver plated. Each pin is inspected to ensure it is of the highest quality.

Uses the same process as Hard Enamel/Cloisonné with these differences: The pin is slightly thinner. Delicate details and more intricate designs can be produced more efficiently at a slightly lower cost. Pro Enamel is an excellent choice for a cost effective pin that has nearly the same quality as the hard enamel/cloisonné pin. Each pin is inspected to ensure it is of the highest quality. |

A die is cut to the image of your design. Your image is stamped on the sheet of copper. Cutting molds are made separately, and the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. The plating is done next using your choice of gold or silver plating. The raised metal surfaces are then highly polished to a luster finish while recessed areas are left with a sandblasted look. If a highly polished look is not desired then a striking antique look is available. Each pin is inspected to ensure it is of the highest quality. |

A die is cut to the image of your design. Your image is stamped on the sheet copper or brass. Cutting molds are made separately, and the pins are cut out to the outline of the design shape. The indentations are then filled with the enamel colors. A gold or silver plating is applied then the pins are fired at a high temperature. An optional epoxy protective coating (dome) can then be applied to protect the color enamels from fading or cracking over time. Each pin is inspected to ensure it is of the highest quality. |
